Paris Design Week; a citywide event
Don’t imagine that it will just be boring or pretentious exhibitions; Paris Design Week is the exact opposite of all that! While the heart of this citywide design showcase is undoubtedly the Maison & Objet trade fair held at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre, dozens of other exciting activities will be taking place in galleries, design schools, ateliers and design studios. A lot of people are working together to create entertaining events such as showings, cocktail parties, artistic happenings, celebrations of emerging talents and much more.

Of course, we recommend that you check out the complete programme of activities on the Paris Design Week website to choose what you want to do. But if you would like a friendly recommendation, we suggest the thematic walks in the streets of Paris. These give you the opportunity to get a different perspective on your surroundings and discover treasures unnoticed by most passers-by. We’re looking forward to the walk around Les Halles, once the former central food market of the capital and known as the ‘Belly of Paris’, and the one that goes from Barbès to the Marché aux Puces de Saint-Ouen (Saint-Ouen flea market), nicely off the well-beaten tourist track!
